Hi everyone! I woke up to an uncommon snow storm here in Nashville. Looking at a winter wonderland as I compile the newsletter.
I’m adding a poll this week, because I want to know how to make this newsletter better for you

Let's take a quick poll!
You can vote by simply clicking the links below. This will help me a ton in shaping the future of this newsletter.
This newsletter would be more helpful for me if… (click a link to vote!)
Another even quicker poll?? I’m working on a podcast for Startup Resources. Click one of these two links please to let me know your interest level.

New user submitted startups this week
SYBG - SYBG (Since You’ve Been Gone) is the easiest way for you to (Re)activate and (Re)engage users. Automatically deliver on-site, in-product, and e-mail product update announcements personalized for each individual user. The result: higher customer activation, engagement, retention, and MAU! How does it work? You simply tell SYBG the product update you want customers to know about and it takes care of the rest. SYBG automatically learns which product updates each of your users has seen. So that when new product updates are released, SYBG informs each user in a personalized way, whether on-site, in-product or via e-mail. 20% discount for Startup Resources users via this special link.
Weirdly - Weirdly is recruitment software built by startups, for startups. Based on a simple, customisable quiz, Weirdly automagically ranks your job applicants by how well they’ll fit your team. Saving you time and money by helping you get to a better shortlist, faster. Taking CV’s out of your inbox and into an easy-to-manage dashboard. And attracting the top talent with a customised, fun candidate experience. Check Weirdly out today.
Tool of the Week
Refind - This service lets you share the links that you save. I have it set up to show shared links anytime I open a new tab in Chrome (which is constantly), and I then see a ton of articles and tools saved by other startup people. I’m @vacord on Refind if you want to follow me.
Discounts for our audience
If you’re looking for a new host for your sites/startups, Hostgator is running a special this weekend: 40% off hosting with code Jan122 today (Friday), 50% off hosting with code Jan123 tomorrow (Saturday), and 60% off hosting with code Jan124 Sunday. So I guess just wait until Sunday for the biggest discount.
Also, you can always get $50 off a new plan at Dreamhost (who I use) with the coupon code STARTUPRESOURCES.
Helpful tool for me this week
AdEspresso - This has been on the site since the beginning, but I just started up retargeting ads again for Vacord Screen Printing, and AdEspresso is really helpful at making Facebook ads as cost effective as possible. Give their system a few images, a few headlines, and a few bits of copy, and they’ll make amalgamations of all of them, figuring out what your most, and least, cost effective ads, so that you can make your ads overall much more cost effective. Check them out if you run Facebook ads.
That's it for this week.
Next week, I’ll have an exciting partnership to announce, so stay tuned for that.
Reply if you want an invite to the slack channel, or have any questions. Have a great week.

PS
I should be able to finally relaunch my online dating profile critique startup next week. My developer from Toptal emails me every morning to tell me what he plans to do, and then email me every afternoon to tell me what he got done in the day, and sends me a demo video every week or two of what he’s built out. Isn’t that crazy? I had never had such a high quality and responsive developer, but it’s the norm at Toptal. Give them a try if you are sick of slow development and want to try a company that doesn’t mess around.
