Hey everyone, hope you’re having a productive week.
An announcement for this newsletter: I’m now offering sponsorships, so if you’re interested, just reply. Affordable rates. I’ll add something to the site about it soon.
Also, I’ve been using Gumroad as a sales platform for t-shirts lately, and in the words of my father “I am not impressed.” I searched this week for better alternatives, and include a couple here, but if you know a great alternative to Gumroad, please let me know!

Growth tip
Try bidding on Google and Bing search ads (yes, Bing, really) for your competition’s name, and for reviews on them, and alternatives to them. Similar to last week’s tip, but if someone is searching actively for “Alternative to Gumroad” and you have a similar solution that you’re trying to promote, that’s a pretty motivated person who is more likely than normal to convert.
Free tool tip
Canva is a great way to quickly whip up text images for Instagram, for free.
Feedback tip
Don’t ask “on a scale from 1-10, how likely are you to recommend us?” without a follow up question of “Why?” Asking a question but only getting a grade response like that is pretty pointless, because you don’t learn anything from it. Make sure any feedback you ask for is actionable and specific. “How could we have made this experience better for you?” is way way better than “On a scale from 1 to 5, how was your experience today?” What the hell do you learn from “4” anyway?
