Happy new year to all. 2015 was great for me, and I’m looking forward to this new year. Hope 2016 is awesome for everyone, with prosperous projects and fun.
What are your goals for the year? How can I help?

Making user submitted startups more prominent on the site
In order to give more attention to the user submitted startups on the site, I’ve moved it to the front page of the site, under the categories area. So now any startup submitted will be on the front page for the current calendar month, before moving to the regular user submitted page (which is the third most popular page on the site actually).
For January and February, the cost to be listed on the site will be $49, but it will go up to $99 in March. Submit your startup today.
Start the year right with these tools (and discounts)
Sanebox - Bring sanity back to your inbox with Sanebox, which automatically sorts your email, putting newsletters in a folder, less important emails in another, so you only see the most important emails in your inbox. Get $15 off with this special link. - Having a dashboard with all your metrics is crucial to keep track of sales and growth, and the overall health of your business. Neatly is awesome because it brings all your data into one dashboard. Use coupon “startupresources” to get 100% off any premium plan for 60 days.
Privy - Need a popup system for your site? Privy does that and a ton more, including landing pages, managing offers to encourage signups, as well as insights into what’s really working on your site. Get 20% off FOREVER with coupon code “startupresources”
Revue - I was using Campaign Monitor for these newsletters, and I still love them overall, but Revue is so affordable ($5 a month for the pro account!) and easy that I’m now happily using them, and saving $44 a month by doing so. If you run a newsletter, give them a try. And use coupon code “STARTUPRESOURCES” for your first three months free.
Ambassador - Looking for a high end affiliate program for your startup? Check out Ambassador, trusted and used by Drip and Spotify, among tons of other companies. Get 10% off your plan with this special link for StartupResources users.
Looking to improve your copy writing skills?
I just learned recently about CopyHour, which is an intense and effective course to teach you how to write better copy and sell more on your site. It’s only four times a year, and the course opened today and will close on Sunday, so if you’re interested, it’s time to jump in and learn how to write better and sell better

Book of the week
Predictable Revenue - After hearing so many startup people recommend this book, I just had to get it. It focuses mostly on B2B growth, using cold email prospecting, relevant and modern lead generation techniques, and more. Cheaper than a fancy sandwich, and definitely worth the read.
Need a developer?
I’ve hired someone from Toptal to finish up development on one of my startups, and I’m really happy with him. Every morning, he emails me to tell what he plans to do in the day, and then at the end of his day, he lets me know what he accomplished. I’ve never had a developer be that communicative with me before, and it’s incredible. If you’re looking for a developer that will knock your socks off, check out Toptal. Let me know if you want an introduction.
That's it for this week
Happy new years. That’s all for this week. Keep an eye out for upcoming newsletters, as I have a lot of tools to add to the site every week in January.
